Former San Diego State wide receiver and ‘Aztec For Life’ Brice Butler has just been drafted by the Oakland Raiders
The 6-foot-3, 210-pound wide receiver was drafted in the 7th round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He was the 209th overall pick in the draft.
Butler impressed scouts at the San Diego State Pro Day in March by posting a 4.36 40-yard dash, a 39-inch vertical jump and a 10-foot-9 broad jump. He is now the second in his family to play in the NFL, as his father Bobby Butler played for the Atlanta Falcons.
Congratulations to Brice!

As mentioned, I rlelay think it is hard to replicate any type of 2-3 or 4 day tournament play. In our area, club coaches and directors have difference of opinions, what do you need? I do believe, if you have court time, WHY? run conditioning type of activities when you have precious & costly gym time. Play volleyball, keep the burst of intensity at a high level, be creative for not only their physical work, but also concentrate on there technical and mental aspects when it is a teaching moment. We are fortunate, because of the court time we have (2days 2hrs.; 2 days 2.5hrs of 50m strength/core, 20m jump, 30m power yoga, and 15m intense dynamics~stretching cool down, and varied days of swim; and 1 Saturday of Beach work) I rlelay wish we could do 2 days of beach, but the kids (12U 17U) need their body to recover also, so yes 5days a week. Strength work starts at 13/14U and to rlelay understanding their body and overall general fitness to perform future intense court workouts. We have seen amazing gains during various training intervals while in the training room. And truthfully they feel better about themselves, gain self confidence, and leads to feeling quicker and more explosive on the court. When we are on the court, 90% of the time, volleyball game specifics; modified queens, our left left game, always intense, always moving, always game like It works for us past and now out of retirement, our present.always for the keikikeo
